Who is Jonathan Lamb?

Jonathan Lamb came to faith as a child of five at a mission for children in London. He studied Geography and Economics at Exeter University and Religious Studies at Winchester, and then taught at Exeter School before being appointed to the staff of UCCF (Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship). He served with UCCF for seven years. He is now on the staff of Langham Partnership International, working with Chris Wright and John Stott in seeking to encourage pastors and lay leaders around the world in the development of preaching and teaching ministries. He serves as Director of Langham Preaching, a programme which seeks to provide practical on-site support for a new generation of preachers and teachers.

He is regularly involved in speaking in churches and conferences in the UK, Europe and elsewhere in the world, and serves on a range of committees engaged in mission. He has also recently served as Chairman of the Keswick Convention in the UK, and continues to serve on the Keswick Council as well as speaking at various Conventions around the world.

He is the author of several books, including Tough Minds, Tender Hearts (IVP), on the place of truth and love in the Christian life; the Crossway Bible Guide on 2 Corinthians; Making Progress in Church Life (Paternoster/Partnership); ‘Faith in the Face of Danger’, Authentic/Paternoster, based on expositions of the book of Nehemiah; and previous titles on Guidance, Worship, and on Student Life. His most recent publications are ‘Integrity: leading with God watching’ (IVP), looking at aspects of Christian ministry and leadership from Paul’s writing to the Corinthians, and ‘From Why to Worship’ (Authentic), a study guide to the prophecy of Habakkuk.
